About Provider
In addition to our own programs and services, we collaborate with many organizations serving youth, the elderly, parents, and marginalized communities by providing health, social, educational, and cultural services that benefit the entire lifespan of LGBT people. The OUTreach Center has provided a voice and has touched the lives of many individuals through equality advocacy, social events, educational programs, and support groups – making it the premiere LGBT organization in the Antelope Valley.
Our Programs
50Plus
We are pleased to announce the formation of our 50+ group. Right now, we are meeting once per month, but this could change with participation and desire! Contact Kimi at [email protected] for more information.
Game Night
Game night welcomes LGBT+ people and allies age 18 and over. Minors may come with an adult guardian. Bring your own board games to share or use ours. Wednesdays from 6-9 pm. Contact [email protected] for more information.
Women’s Group
The Women’s Group at The OUTreach Center is open for anyone who identifies as female. Come join us for an evening of relaxation. Every week has a different host. Sometimes we may play poker, bingo, board games, watch a movie, or just sit and chat. We are here to support each other, have a social outlet, and meet others like us. Child care is usually provided in the library. Snacks and coffee are always available and sometimes we will serve a full dinner. For more information, contact [email protected]
Trans Support and Significant Other Groups
The Transgender Support Group meets on the second Saturday of the month at The OUTreach Center from 6 pm to 8 pm. Trans people and allies are welcome. For more information email [email protected]
Transgender Youth Support Group
This will service youth under the age of 18. Currently, we are using the mentor model with our youth. If you are a trans youth or parent of a trans youth and would like to meet with one of our trans youth specialists, please contact Allison Blaylock at [email protected] or 818-288-7158
**At no time will a youth be allowed to be dropped off without a guardian or parent, if a parent wishes to bring more than one youth that parent or guardian must take responsibility of the youth.
The Men’s Coffee
The Men’s Coffee is an opportunity for Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and straight allied men to share experiences and bond over a cup of coffee or tea. Conversations often address topics of interest to GBT men, including health, gay history, current events, and pop culture. Sometimes, we are just social. We have no agenda other than supporting each other and meeting new friends. Join us the second and fourth Sunday of the month at The OUTreach Center. For more information, contact [email protected]. In addition to our Coffee meetings, sometimes we do movies, lunches, or other social activities. To join our email list, text @tocmen to 81010 or ask a member to add you to our private Facebook group.
